Downtown San Diego Auto Repair has been fixing cars at 1619 G St for over seven years — long enough that a lot of our work now comes from the same downtown drivers coming back.
What we specialize in
Our day-to-day is brakes, engine repair, and general repairs and maintenance — plus the routine work that keeps a car off the tow truck: oil changes, tune-ups, electrical diagnosis and cooling system repairs. We also do smog checks in house.
Most of the cars we see are city cars: short trips, hard stops, hill climbs, long stretches parked in a garage. That kind of use wears specific things first, and after seven-plus years downtown we know what to check before you have to ask.
Our approach is simple — diagnose it properly, explain what we found in plain language, quote it before we touch anything, and tell you what can wait.
